Our website address is: https://southernfriedtlc.com and it is a regional bog zine titled “Southern Fried tlc…” This Northeastern Tennessee blog zine is owned and run by Trease L Carpenter. You may contact Trease at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, concerns or comments you may have. If you need my mailing address or physical location, please contact me by email. This Northeast Tennessee regional zine seeks to inform their reader audience of items of interest concerning our tourism, lifestyle and community in this area of the Southeastern U.S. It is our hope the zine will inspire you to visit or move to our area in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. We have a lot to offer in our locale and it’s certainly worth the visit.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website may download and extract any location data from images on the website. But please don’t download our images for your use, unless you credit the photo to the Southern Fried tlc website or to Trease L Carpenter. These images belong to and were photographed by Trease L Carpenter. Not to properly credit the photographs to Trease L carpenter is copyright infringement. Also, don’t download the photos for commercial use or on your own blog or website. That also is copyright infringement. If you are caught using these images, the least you will be liable for is to pay a fee for using them anywhere without permission. The same goes for the content on this website blog/zine, unless you are sharing and crediting Trease L Carpenter as the author of the content and also include the website address of https://southernfriedtlc.com so you don’t run afoul of copyright laws.
At this time we do not use any contact forms. Should we use them in the future, we will note it in this section.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators also see and edit that information.

We currently use the Securi Security and Shield Security WordPress plugins to aid and help us protect from data breaches. We also use the Askimet plugin on the website.

Currently, we do not profile at all with user data. We do not use advertising profiles at this time, either.

We collect information about visitors who comment on our site who use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site. But typically this includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
